According to Srivastava, China received the biggest hit as a disruption of the world’s largest smartphone supply chain. This affects a number of vendors smartphone who were forced to postpone the release of their smart device.

The IDC website also states that the 2020 smartphone drop-off incident is only a short scenario. The research company is optimistic that the 5G network mechanism in the future can promote a more stable situation in the third quarter of 2020.
“The overall scenario is expected to stabilize from the third quarter of this year, because the COVID-19 situation will hopefully improve soon, as well as the 5G plan that takes global steps,” Srivastava explained.
