In order to combat the COVID-19 outbreak, online motorcycle taxi companies in Indonesia are competing to give attention to driver partners and their customers. Some of them are by distributing masks and periodic socialization to partners regarding efforts to transmit the corona virus.
Service ride-hailing Grab has started to provide intensive education to partners and customers so that they can make efforts to prevent the spread of the corona virus in Indonesia.
“Since the existence of the Corona virus we have provided education in collaboration with Grab Health to all our drivers, as well as to our customers, if using Grab, you can see how to prevent it,” said Managing Director of Grab Indonesia, Neneng Goenadi when met at the Grab Ventures event. This education and outreach is carried out through various mediums, both internal and external, which can be accessed directly by partners such as in-app communications, e-mail and also conventional and media.
Grab also focuses on providing education to passengers in preventing COVID-19. Not only that, his party also admitted that he had given more than 5000 masks to driver partners evenly at the GrabBike Lounge Daan Mogot, Kebayoran Lama, and TB Simatupang, each of which received 1,700 masks.
“About 3 or four weeks ago we also distributed to our drivers in Jakarta. As many as 5,000 masks,” said Neneng.
Likewise with Gojek, which began to take anticipatory steps in connection with the spread of the corona virus. Gojek’s efforts are reaching all of its employees, including partners the driver, partner merchant, partner service provider, and its customers.
