Since the corona virus broke out, every country has tried to prevent its spread, including technology companies in various countries. Not a few of these companies put their employees off to work from home or remote working.
In this case remote working, is an alternative way to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. This followed reports of a number of employees who tested positive for the corona virus.
“A contractor based in our East Stadium office has been diagnosed with COVID-19. We have alerted our employees and are following advice from public health officials to put everyone’s health and safety first,” Facebook spokesman Anthony Harrison told Business Insider.
Facebook was forced to cancel a number of annual agendas such as the F8 developer. As a precautionary measure, the Facebook office at Stadium East was forced to close temporarily.

Not only in the US, the corona virus has also infected Facebook employees in Singapore and London. This also made the company that was built by Mark Zuckerberg had to temporarily close its branch office there.
“We have immediately closed the affected areas for deep cleaning and advised employees based in the affected areas to work from home until March 13,” a Facebook London spokesperson said in a statement via e-mail.
Mark Zuckerberg’s social media also said it had contacted people who had direct contact with the infected person and had asked them to self-isolate and monitor any possible symptoms.
In connection with this, in a statement provided by the US government, the online market company Amazon has also confirmed having employees who have been detected with COVID-19 in Seattle.
“The employee left feeling uneasy on Tuesday 25 February, and has not entered Amazon’s offices since,” read the notice.
Instantly, Amazon immediately took steps to quarantine the employee and notify anyone who had direct contact with him. Two Amazon employees in Milan, Italy have also tested positive for the virus.
Seeing this, several US technology companies have banned their employees from traveling to and from China to prevent the spread of the virus, namely Amazon, Apple, Google, Facebook and Microsoft. For information, based on a report from the World Health Organization (WHO), there were 98,000 positive cases of COVID-19 reported globally.
